a new season is calling
THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay
spring is when our cornwall hideaway really comes into its own

Spring at THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay
The gardens are stretching awake, the North Cornish coastline becomes vibrant with flora and fauna again, and there’s a renewed excuse to linger outside in those first warm days with a glass in hand.
From fresh, garden‑led feasting dishes in our restaurant to laid-back, wood-fired dining at The Lobster Shed, and salty sea air walks with sandy toes, live music and long, lazy afternoons that turn into evenings – this is springtime, the PIG way.

Laid-back, outdoor dining is back!
We'll be opening our doors for the warmer months at The Lobster Shed from 1st April 2026.
The Lobster Shed is our laid-back, sun-soaked spot just a five-minute walk from Harlyn Bay Beach, and the best spot to eat in Cornwall in summer. This season, it’s all about fresh local fish, wood-roasted meats, and garden-grown sides… think big flavours, cold drinks, and salty air filling your days. Just throw on your flip-flops (we like to keep it casual), grab a friend or six, and come and soak up the atmosphere.

What's on the menu?
Of course, lobster is on the menu, but there's a whole load more besides!
It’s all about the wood-oven and local charcoal fired grill, so expect wood roasted fresh lobster, chargrilled steak, BBQ veggies as well as pickled salads, fresh crab with sourdough and Old School Ice Cream Sundaes to finish with.
Cornish beers and cider, fizz and plenty of rosé – perfect to just drink in the views.

Step Outside: Spring Walks & Garden Wanders
Just moments from our doorstep, you’ll find big Atlantic views and stretches of sandy shores, rugged coves, wild moorland and picturesque harbour villages. Strike out along coastal path, wander across clifftops with the salty wind in your hair, or take a slower mooch along the beach as the tide rolls in and out.
Our team has rounded up some of their favourite local routes, perfect for working up an appetite before lunch at the Lobster Shed or stretching things out after a leisurely breakfast.

Golden hour: Buttered & Baked
Available at THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay from 27th March 2026
After a long, countryside ramble, there’s only one sensible next step. Settle in for Buttered & Baked - generous, comforting and proudly un‑fussy, ‘perfect-for-3pm’ kind of moreish treats.
Think warm, savoury, cheesy, buttery bites and plentiful homebaked sweet things to finish. It’s the perfect pairing for a mid-week spring wander, whether you’re staying the night or just dropping in.

Unwind in the Potting Sheds
Our treatment rooms are some of our favourite spots to hide out, tucked away in the peace and quiet of the Kitchen Garden. Sinking into a massage, facial or scrub while the rest of the world does its thing feels like a really good kind of treat.
It’s time carved out just for you.

Where will you wake up this Spring?
