Gather your favourite people this summer and join us under our garden stretch tent at THE PIG in the New Forest to learn the unique art of pinch pottery, hosted by our local friends at The Pottery Pantry.

We’ll warmly welcome you in with a hot drink and a freshly baked pastry, before Francesca – founder of The Pottery Pantry – will show you how to create your own garden flowerpot and plant markers to adorn your outdoor spaces at home this season.

You don’t need any pottery experience and there will be plenty of time to ask questions along the way as you get to shaping, pinching and finessing your own garden goodies.

Book your spot...

By the time your pots and plant markers are made, you’ll have worked up a well-earned appetite and can settle in to enjoy a wood-fired feasting lunch from our Garden Oven with generous pours of our very own THE PIG Cut wine – all included with the price of your ticket!

Afterwards, your pottery creations will be dry and ready for painting; the final touch to your pieces that will bring your own stamp of colour, character and life to your garden this summer.

A little heads up: after the workshop, Francesca will take your pottery to be fired in the kiln at The Pottery Pantry and you can collect your finished pieces from THE PIG in the New Forest from Monday 6th July.

Meet your host...

Francesca, founder of The Pottery Pantry

“I’ve spent the last 10 years in the ceramic industry, with a background in art from college and a long-standing love for creating thoughtful, personalised pieces for others.

“When I started The Pottery Pantry three years ago, I didn’t want just another studio where you paint the same old items – I wanted to create something that felt fresh, fun and genuinely inspiring. A space where you’d want to spend an afternoon with friends, making pieces you’re really proud of and excited to have in your home.

“We now create everything from painted ceramics to handmade clay pieces, with clay workshops being our newest addition. I’m so excited to be bringing one of our workshops to THE PIG, where you’ll make your own plant pot and four plant markers, learning step-by-step how to shape and paint something completely unique.”
