before the adventure begins
A Southampton city bolthole
Perfectly located just 5-15 minutes from the Southampton cruise terminals.

Our historic townhouse sits neatly within Southampton's medieval walls - and you can feel the history the moment you walk in. Reclaimed sleepers, tiled floors, upholstered furniture and cosy corners throughout.
We're just a short stroll from some of Southampton’s greatest attractions including: Bargate, West Quay shopping centre and the Mayflower theatre.

With twelve individually designed rooms our third-floor Snug with original beams and walk-in monsoon shower, to our Spacious rooms with freestanding roll top bath. Each one designed to feel like somewhere you actually want to come back to.
The building itself dates to around 1820, built as a private residence for author and playwright Countess Elizabeth Craven - when ships were anchored right outside the front door.
Relaxed Deli Dining
Our deli bar is open for lunch and supper, serving a seasonal menu of homemade dishes using produce from our Kitchen Gardens at THE PIG in Brockenhurst and suppliers within a 25 mile radius. Award-winning cheeses, Hampshire meats, free-range eggs and honey from our own apiary.
If you’re keen to continue wandering the city and sightseeing, we’d be very happy to create a deli takeaway for you to grab and go.
